MPD Makes Arrest in a Robbery and Assault
The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect following two offenses that occurred in Northwest.
On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Third District officers responded to 8th and Q Street, Northwest, for the report of a robbery. A group of juveniles surrounded the victim. The suspects then began assaulting the adult female victim and taking her property items during a struggle. A second adult female victim intervened, but was then assaulted by the suspects. The suspects then fled the location on foot.
DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene to treat the first victim for non-life-threatening injuries.
Responding officers canvassing the area subsequently located and arrested a suspect.
A 14-year-old juvenile female, of Northeast, was charged with Robbery (Force and Violence) and Simple Assault.
