MPD Seeks Suspect in a Residential Burglary and First-Degree Theft

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a Northwest burglary and first-degree theft (stolen automobile).

On July 6, 2026, at approximately 3:12 a.m., officers from the Second District responded to the report of a burglary in the 5100 block of 34th Street, Northwest. A suspect gained entry into a residence and while inside, took property items before fleeing the location. The victim’s vehicle was also stolen.

The suspect was captured by nearby security cameras and can be seen in this video and photo below:

Anyone who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia
